Low-carb Marinade
Makes about 2¾ cups (650ml).
By Dennis W. Viau; an original recipe.
My standard marinade/barbecue sauce is made with honey and/or brown sugar—ingredients that are high in carbohydrates. For this marinade I eliminated the high-carb ingredients without sacrificing the flavor. I tested it on ribs that were marinated and then roasted in an air fryer. The results were excellent.
Ingredients:
1 cup (240ml) apple cider vinegar
1 cup (240ml) bourbon
½ cup (120ml) soy sauce
3 to 4 cloves garlic, minced or crushed
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
1 teaspoon of Creole seasoning
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
Directions:
Combine all the ingredients in a large bowl and mix well with a whisk.
Use to marinate pork or beef ribs, or other cuts of meat as desired.
